Mark Darwin pens a deal with Wossner Pistons, MST Performance and OneWay Lubricants to take his driving to another level

With multiple championships under his name worldwide, Malaysian racer Mark Darwin is looking forward to doing more in the next stage of his illustrious career after signing an endorsement deal with Wossner Pistons, MST Performance and OneWay Lubricants.

For the next three years, Darwin will be working together with the three companies to test and develop their products, ultimately aiming to push them to the next level. This spells good news for motorheads in the region – They will have access to these state-of-the-art technologies as local workshop Monster Tune will be the exclusive distributor for Wossner, MST and OneWay in SouthEast Asia.

After putting pen to paper at Rajah and Tann Asia, TopGear Singapore managed to grab hold of the 29-year-old international racer for an insight into his year 2020.

TGS: What has been your highlight for 2019?
MD: 2019 was a busy year for me. I started it off with a bang by winning the “Best Driver of the Year” award. As of now we are approaching the end of the season and I’m still in the running for quite a few championships, so that’s making me excited to close the year with these achievements.

TGS: Would you say 2019 has been your best year yet?
MD: Yes! I think 2019 has been the best year of my career, and I think 2020 will be even better.

TGS: How does Wossner, MST and OneWay align with your racing philosophy?
MD: Wossner, MST and OneWay are all brands associated with racing. They have spent a lot of time developing their products both on the tracks and on the roads, so bringing their technologies into my racing will certainly give me the extra edge over my competitors because I know these three companies are the best in their industries.

TGS: How involved do you plan to be in the process of Research and Development at Wossner, MST and OneWay?
MD: These brands are always pursuing perfection in terms of their product quality. I will be bringing these products onto the race tracks and pushing them to their extremes before giving my feedback. This collaboration will definitely open up the opportunity for us to work much closer in bringing the products to greater heights.

TGS: What can we expect from you in the year 2020
MD: 2020 will be exciting. There are bigger plans in the pipeline but we are still waiting for some of the stars to align. I think the information will be released soon but 2020 definitely looks more exciting, especially after this collaboration with Wossner, MST and OneWay.

Rule of Three

Three is not a crowd for Mark Darwin and Monster Tune as SouthEast Asia stands to gain from Wossner-MST-OneWay collaboration

The trio of Wossner, MST and OneWay products will be exclusively represented by Monster Tune in SouthEast Asia. With this deal, the fully-integrated car tuning facility receives another boost to its experience on top of its work of more than two decades worldwide.

More than its expertise in Electronic Control Unit (ECU) tuning and comprehensive workshop services, Monster Tune will be able to add further breadth and depth to its repertoire courtesy of its three latest partners.

Wossner Pistons

Wossner is Germany’s finest aftermarket forged piston and rod manufacturer and has over 25 years of experience in the industry. From designing racing components for top tier European racing teams to providing the weekend warrior a hopped-up high compression piston, Wossner aims to deliver quality products that will optimise the performance of any vehicle on two or four wheels.

MST Performance

MST Performance started small in Tainan, Taiwan in 2011. It was formed to answer a growing need in the market for drivers looking for better performance. Eight years on, it is still pushing the limits in the design and construction of intake systems and accessories through innovation. The company has its own Research and Development department and makes sure all of its products go through rigorous testing before going on the market.

OneWay Lubricants

With its own blend of oil certified by Porsche, BMW and Daimler group, OneWay is a family owned petroleum business that sets the standard for high performance usage. OneWay’s very own Racing Max 5W-30 is also the only ester-based engine oil that has anti-Low Speed Pre-Ignition (LSPI) properties, an important value that can prevent catastrophic engine damage.
