4-year-old Davanti Tyres look to play with the big boys
The first noticeable thing about my test-set of Davanti tyres was the great noise control.
Established only in 2015 in the United kingdom, Davanti Tyres and its range of products, namely the DX390, DX640 and the DX740, are known to “offer exceptional wet performance and an extremely quiet ride”.
And it only took a couple of errand-drives for me on the DX390 to confirm those claims. The low noise was apparent from the get-go and performed consistently on my drive across a variety of surfaces. While compartmentalised grooves are often known to provide firmer grip, Davanti’s technology has also incorporated sound containment as a function of these grooves.
Similar to most quality tyres, a slight drizzle wasn’t enough to dampen my confidence at the wheel, and that really was as good as it got. Four wide and deep groove channels readily aid in water drainage and dissipation, and that should play a key role in decision-making when it comes to tyres.
Above my fact-checking, I was keener to find out how well these wheels handled the roads. Davanti independently tests the tyres in Europe, and perhaps except for heat resistance, the drive should replicate testing standards. Subsequent days of testing saw little difference in tyre performance and I was comfortable to report back in positive style for these rubbers.
