WIX Filters celebrates its 80th birthday with a bash and a promise to become a household name in Singapore

Despite a lively 80th birthday bash that was celebrated by a mini-carnival, Vice President of Mann+Hummel, Automotive Aftermarket (Rest of Asia), Teo Yi Tuan was not surprised by the attendees’ lack of familiarity with the brand name. 

After all, the brand name is not yet highly recognisable amongst car owners within the region, and the filter brand in a car does not exactly capture much pizazz on a sales pamphlet.

But Teo’s much-visible enthusiasm to popularise the brand is also rooted in logic. Drivers should not spend time in a car with poor air quality, and WIX Filters is simply looking to show what they’ve done for decades – protecting drivers and their passengers by providing clean and healthy air in cars. 

The unveiling of the new WIX Filters Cabin Air Filters booth at Stamford Tyres, Jurong Mega Mart will go some way towards achieving that vision as it now means WIX Filters products are also more accessible than before.

WIX Filters offers 80 years of expertise in the car-filter subsection of auto-motives and together with MANN + HUMMEL, provides over 200 million filters annually across the world for drivers of every kind.

The company is also heavily involved in motorsports and is among the sponsors of races in NASCAR and the IndyCar Series, to name a few. This is its commitment towards industry-leading technology that can benefit cars of any kind.

The festivities at 19 Lok Yang Way saw prizes handed out and food generously served, and in between that, guests were given a chance to ask questions, as well as to learn more about the importance of driving in an environment with clean air.

Certainly a step towards the right direction, and a strong signal of intent from the 80-year old.
