The Bangkok International Auto Salon, held at IMPACT Challenger Hall 3 from 3 to 7 July, is hailed as the largest modified automotive show and sales event of its kind in the ASEAN region.
While the Bangkok International Motor Show this year had a smaller accessory display area, the Auto Salon makes up for it with an entire show filled with modified cars, parts and accessories of every kind imaginable.
Entertainment activities that this year include performances from Edo Wonderland, car club meetings with over 1,000 Thai car clubs, beautiful girls from Auto Salon Queen Thailand, Race Queen Japan, FHM GND and not forgetting, the sexy car wash headlined by Japanese race queens Hazuki and Koto.
This year’s featured cars were the Honda Civic Type R by HKS, Mazda MX-5 RevYou ND Roadster, Toyota Hilux Revo Pandem, Toyota 86 Future Sports, Firstclass Rocket Bunny Nissan GTR, Suzuki Jimmy Black Bison, Subaru Varis X Runduce STI, and Liberty Walk LB works XY’z One BMW I8.
Anyone looking for a new car would definitely like it. Special promotions were offered by various car companies, with even a car offered as a prize to one lucky shopper. The aftermarket companies who were out in full force, with companies making spare parts, to high-end performance parts as well as accessories taking up bulk of the hall space.
Of course, fans of JDM icons like the legendary drift king Keiichi Tsuchiya and Spoon Sports owner, Tatsuru Ichishima could get a glimpse of them touring the arena. Major booths at the event showcased cars from Oak Club Thailand, Garage Unique, Liberty Walk Thailand, and Drift to Drive academy.
Multiple car clubs also came out to show support for the event. Work Wheels held their Stance day and the RX-7 club Thailand held there RX-7 day meets at the event.
The next Bangkok Auto Salon is scheduled on 25 March to 5 April next year.
