Pioneer Electronics Asia Centre has unveiled a slew of new multimedia receivers to bring the big screen upgrade to the road. The models are namely: The 8-inch DMH-ZS8250BT, the 7-inch AVH-Z9250BT and AVH-Z7250BT, the 6.8-inch AVH-Z5250BT, as well as the 6.2-inch AVH-Z2250BT.
The new Z-Series range brings modern smartphone connectivity such as Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and WebLink experience to every driver, upgraded audio-visual performance and new convenience features.
“Today’s drivers live faster-paced lives, and need much more quality and convenience from their in-car entertainment systems – so we designed our 2020 line-up of multimedia receivers specifically to meet those needs,” said Mr. Ronald Lee, General Manager of Sales and Marketing Division, Pioneer Electronics Asia Centre.
The new flagship is the DMH-ZS8250BT, a top-of-the-line receiver sporting a large, 8-inch display designed for an enhanced viewing experience. Sporting a 24-bit True Colour multi-touch capable capacitive touchscreen, it boasts an innovative 1-, 2- or non-DIN design allows it to be installed in almost every vehicle.
The new multimedia receiver features new audio components with Polymer Multi-Layer Capacitors, redesigned circuit boards with low impedance parts, shielded audio signal circuitry, and an improved digital-to-analog converter. This receiver also features a slew of format playback compatibility as well as Auto EQ and Time Alignment for optimum listening pleasure.
While the heavyweight 8-inch packs a punch, the smaller siblings deliver the same experience in a compact package. The AVH-Z9250BT, AVH-Z7250BT, AVH-Z5250BT, and AVH-Z2250BT – come with all the essentials car enthusiasts look for in a premium product. For starters, they feature Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and WebLink – essential features for those seeking a premium entertainment option.
Moreover, the AVH-Z9250BT boasts a unique wireless screen mirroring feature which brings the full phone experience onto the 7-inch screen.
All the receivers now feature a reworked user interface with larger icons and customizable elements for drivers to tweak the interface to their individual preferences. We tested the new automatic cable connection detection feature at the launch, and our phones were perfectly synced to the receiver in a matter of seconds.
For those who believe in the wireless future, up to 20 phones can be paired on the AVH-Z9250BT and up to five phones on Pioneer’s other Z-Series. It supports up to three active phones on a full-time connection, and switch between sources effortlessly with just a tap.
The five new receivers can be programmed to work with various steering wheel controls, camera inputs, and parking assist guidelines.
The new receivers will be available at Pioneer’s authorised dealers in Singapore and Thailand in February, and March for Malaysia, Indonesia, India, Philippines, and Vietnam. The Recommended Retail Prices (RRP) for the new Pioneer receivers are:
