A normally idyllic Sunday at Seletar was injected with a breath a fresh are when the Retrocars Mega Gathering participants rolled in. A small part of “The Oval” at Seletar Aerospace Park was overrun with plenty of nice examples of both classic and retro cars.
On 8 July from 3pm to 6pm, enthusiastic owners, drivers and fans of classic cars alike descended on the small space. With plenty of hot rides and cool whips to look at – participants could also take a break at the Youngs bar and restaurant.
Organized by the SGRetroCar,, the event attracted many, turning up in rides from as rare as a fifth-generation Crown saloon to an immaculate Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution III, and Toyota Celica GT-Four done up in their official WRC livery.
Be it German, English, Japanese, Italian, the event also attracted enthusiasts from as far as Malaysia for a good get-together. It also saw the reunification with cars and their previous owners as well, who took the opportunity to relieve some of the memories while basking in the glory of their beautifully restored condition.
