SITEX, Singapore’s annual consumer and lifestyle IT exhibition, will be back at Singapore EXPO in 23-36 November 2017 for its 29th edition with brand new zones, fresh concepts, and sensorial immersion features to enhance visitors’ experience.

Jointly organised by SingEx Exhibitions and Singapore Infocomm Technology Federation (SiTF), get first dibs on state-of-the-art gadgets and in-depth learning of technology application into everyday lives.

This year, highlights include an audio room decked in the latest advancement that audio technology brings, an SiTF Innovation Alley showcasing Augmented Reality for interior designing, and a gaming zone introducing revolutionary console, mobile and VR gaming equipment.

As part of the lead-up to the main SITEX event, island-wide roadshows will be conducted through a newly launched brand: SITEX On-The-Go!. SITEX On-The-Go! consists of TechOut and Drive-Through, two new experiential outreach platforms designed to bring SITEX closer to the local tech community. TechOut was recently conducted at JTC Launchpad @ One North, and attracted more than 1,000

Drive-Through, slated for 4 – 5 November 2017, will see Singapore EXPO come alive through the gathering of automotive car technology enthusiasts in Singapore. The outreach involves collaborative partnerships with car clubs such as Modsters and car decal partners such as WrapStyle. A convoy of 20 cars will be deployed in a drivethrough exercise through Singapore’s iconic tourism spots, starting from the Science Centre to Sentosa, Orchard Road and its end point at Singapore EXPO. Singapore EXPO will then play host to an al-fresco exhibition where the latest in in-car technology such as Thinkware dash cameras will be on show. There will also be attractive prizes up for grabs in various Drive-Through contests organised on social media and on-site.

A fresh concept like no other consumer IT show today, the audio room blends the audiophile enthusiast with the excitement that latest advancement in audio technology brings, together with innovative lifestyle elements. Visitors can look forward to an immersive consumer electronics lifestyle experience where specialty F&B elements integrates with audio experiential offerings. In addition to live stage
performances from acoustics and ensembles to live bands and Electronic Music, opportunities for “ears-on” demos of equipment on display will be available.

Growing from strength to strength, the SiTF Innovation Alley, which features the best in start-up technology, has since grown into a full-fledged town since its inception in 2015. This year, expect to see innovative solutions that include InsurTech, Augmented Reality for interior designing, health & wellness (using DNA) and more!

The SITEX gaming zone is brought to you this year by MyTradeInPartner exclusively featuring Sony products. Featuring the latest showcase in the console gaming, VR gaming/equipment and mobile gaming realms, there will be plenty to look forward to in the area of gaming technology.


SITEX has recently announced that its digital playground was “hacked”, and in order to reinstate its former glory, XETIS, official mascot of SITEX, is reaching out for help by engaging the public in a TechHunt.

During SITEX 2017 on 23 and 26 November, 5.30pm to 8.30pm and 11am to 2pm respectively, registered participants of TechHunt will be deployed to seek clues from various booths across five different zones: Smart Home, Auto Tech, Kids Tech, Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR), and Audio Room.

Weaving in the IT element, TechHunt taps on ePrism to function. ePrism is a mobile application available on iOS and Android that leverages on AR technology. Participants have to find an ePrism logo, point at the image and scan for interaction. Upon answering three to five questions, registrants will unlock hints that lead them to restoring Singapore’s IT Lifestyle Digital Playground. Participants stand to win attractive cash prizes of up to $2000 and vouchers from various vendors.

With a limited capacity of 500 participants per timeslot, including 200 spaces which will be set aside for walk-ins, interested parties are advised to pre-register online at from 1 November to avoid disappointment. 300 sets of the world’s thinnest item tracker, TrackR Bravo, will also be available for redemption on a first come first serve basis. This includes 100 units of the TrackR Bravo Front for the first 100 participants and 200 units of TrackR Pixel Front for the next 200. Ladies simply have to spend S$100 in a single receipt to redeem a TrackR Pixel (limited to 50 per day).
