SITEX is Singapore’s long-running consumer electronics fair. Organised by SingEx Exhibitions in partnership with the Singapore Infocomm Technology Federation (SiTF), the annual event will be held till 26 November, Sunday, from 11am to 9pm daily, at Singapore Expo Halls 7 and 8.
At a media preview this morning, we had the chance to see the latest gadgets and gizmos.
First off, we were shown an audio room kitted out with the latest technology. It also has a listening area with the latest speakers that deliver extreme volume without distortion, akin to the moving extreme machines EMMA Singapore SPL challenges.
The SiTF Innovation Alley showcased local startups which demonstrated how the latest in technology, such as augmented reality (AR) is used for interior design, as well as the latest technologies for financial, wellness and health deployment. The show also had a Tech Career Fair, for those seeking to enter the technology industry as a career.
Naturally, AutoTech is the part of SITEX which we are most geared for. With the number of cars on our roads today, it pays to have a good dash cam to record your drive in case of an emergency. The latest dash cams, such as the Blackvue DR750S series, are on sale at discounted rates. The booth also allows everyone to try out the dash cams as well as experience the Blackvue Over the Cloud system.
There are also a handful of booths which stock automotive accessories such as car care, phone mounts and GPS navigation devices. You could also drive home in a new car (metaphorically) or zoom away with a new mobility solution in the boot of your car.
If you do find yourself splurging out on the latest gear, don’t forget to participate in the lucky draws as well. You get one chance at “Make-a-Wish at SITEX” with every $50 spent, and ladies can participate in the “Ladies Go Tech” lucky draw as well.
